I have designed this very easy beaded candle cozy covers for a standard size mason jar using basic crochet stitches in US terminology of chains, single crochet, half double crochets and double crochet stitches so it is not complicated but still has an overall effect of looking fabulous. For UK, Australian and Canadian crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you.

The candle covers will easily slip over the lid of a standard size mason jar with a lid width of 70mm and a height of 128mm. The pattern is easily adjustable to accommodate shorter and taller mason jars with a lid opening of 70mm. Instructions are provided with the pattern.

MATERIALS 100% Cotton

CROCHET HOOK: METRIC: Size - 3.50mm, USA: Size - E-4, UK/CANADIAN: Size - 9.

I used 100% cotton in 8 ply yarn for this project. It is very important you only use 100% cotton if you plan to burn a tea light or any other candle in your mason jar due to the heat it generates. You should be able to make a number of cozies from 1 ball of yarn. It’s also a great way to use up yarn ends.

Darning needle to sew in ends.
